Currumbin Beach is a Gold Coast favourite, known for its consistent waves, natural rock pools, family-friendly swimming and relaxed coastal feel. At the southern end, Currumbin Alley (where Currumbin Creek meets the ocean) creates a unique mix of calm estuary water and gentle surf breaks that suits beginner surfers, stand-up paddleboarders and families. The beach also has patrolled swimming zones, grassy picnic areas and easy access to cafés.
Just north of the Alley, Lacey’s Lane offers stronger, more consistent waves with fewer crowds. Backed by green hills and with views from Elephant Rock, Currumbin Beach delivers a great balance of surfing, swimming and relaxed beach time.
