Camp Island is a private northern Whitsundays island with Camp Island Lodge as the only stay: one Camp Island exclusive hire at a time across four villas. Camp Island transfers run from the Elliot River ramp at Guthalungra, and Camp Island snorkelling is on the fringing reef around the island.

🏝️Why Visit?

This is a private northern Whitsundays island in Abbot Bay, 3 km off Guthalungra. One group gets the four villas and the quiet beaches. Come for the reef at the sand, not for a busy Airlie resort.

🏖️Things to Do

🤿 Snorkelling — On the fringing reef around the island, tide and weather dependent
🛶 Kayaking and SUP — Kayaks and paddleboards are part of the usual stay kit
🎣 Fishing — Jetty and reef fishing. Confirm licences and inclusions with the lodge
🦪 Oysters — Rock oysters around the island when conditions allow
🏊 Pool — Island pool for a no-reef swim
🚶 Walks — Easy circuit and a hill lookout over Abbot Bay

✈️ Whitsundays Scenic Flight

Flight over Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet and Heart Reef, with pickup from Airlie Beach accommodation.

⚓ Whitehaven Eco-Cruise

Full-day catamaran to Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, with a reef snorkel and buffet lunch.

👑Camp Island Exclusive Hire

Camp Island exclusive hire means one booking at a time. You get Camp Island Lodge, the four villas and the shared lodge. There is no per-room rate and no second group on the island.
👑 One Booking Only — The whole island is one group. You do not share the sand, pool or lodge with another party.
🏡 Whole Lodge Hire — Four villas plus the shared kitchen, dining and living space sit in the one hire.
🚫 No Room Rate — Partial rates are not sold. A smaller group still hires the island, not a single villa.
🧑‍💼 Managers Separate — On-site managers live in a house away from the villas so the hire stays private.
