Hayman Island is the private Whitsundays resort island with one hotel, InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef. Stay for the beaches, the resort pool and booked reef trips. Access is a guest Hayman Island transfer, not a walk-up public ferry.

How do you get to Hayman Island?
Fly into Hamilton Island Airport, then take the booked Hayman Island transfer by resort boat, about one hour, or by helicopter. A set-timetable boat also leaves Coral Sea Marina. There is no public walk-up ferry.
Is Hayman Island a private resort island?
Yes. The only stay is the Hayman Island resort, InterContinental Hayman. Access is for guests on a booked transfer.
Are dogs allowed on Hayman Island?
No. Pets are not permitted on the island.
Is there camping on Hayman Island?
No. There is no public or free camping. The island is a luxury resort destination only.
When is stinger season?
Marine stingers can be present from November to May. Stinger suits are recommended (and usually provided) for ocean swimming and snorkelling during this period.
What is Blue Pearl Bay?
Blue Pearl Bay is a highly regarded snorkelling and diving site near Hayman Island, known for clear water, coral and marine life. It is a popular excursion from the resort.
Can you do a Hayman Island day trip?
Not as a normal public ferry product. This page is the overnight resort stay. Do not treat it like Daydream Island.
