Orpheus Island is a national-park island with two separate visits. Orpheus Island Lodge is the all-inclusive stay. A helicopter to Orpheus Island from Townsville takes about 30 minutes. Orpheus Island snorkelling is off the fringing reef. Orpheus Island camping is QPWS only and is not the lodge.

There are two visits, not one. Orpheus Island Lodge is the all-inclusive stay at Hazard Bay. A helicopter to Orpheus Island from Townsville takes about 30 minutes. Orpheus Island camping is three QPWS sites reached by private boat. Lodge facilities are not for campers. There is no public ferry.

🚁 Lodge guests — scheduled helicopter from Townsville Airport. About 30 minutes. 15 kg bag limit
🚁 Cairns — longer private helicopter, about 90 minutes
🚤 Campers and day boats — private boat or charter from Taylors Beach, Lucinda or Dungeness
🚫 No public ferry and no road
🚫 Do not use the lodge jetty except in an emergency
