Better than the picture
Great active beach with a local feel Miami Beach is a solid spot on the Gold Coast—wide golden sand, reliable waves for surfers, and plenty of space for walking or fitness sessions along the foreshore. The coastal views are stunning, especially looking north towards Surfers Paradise, and the picnic areas and parks make it easy to spend a full day here. It’s less crowded than the bigger tourist beaches, which we loved for a more relaxed vibe. Only downside is limited shade and no cafes right on the sand, so bring your own snacks or walk up to the nearby shops. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after an active, laid-back beach day!
