🚶 Esplanade path — On-leash only on the shared walk and bike path along the Hervey Bay Esplanade.
🚫 Planned dog-free swim — Council plans a dog-free stretch from Scarness Jetty to Robert Street later in 2026 after local law changes.
🌳 Hervey Street park — Separate 24 hour dog area at Scarness Park, 41 Hervey Street. This is not the beach.

🚌 Public Transport: Regular Wide Bay Transit buses run along The Esplanade, linking Scarness with Pialba, Torquay and Urangan.
🅿️ Parking: Scarness Beach parking is free along The Esplanade and in the Scarness Park bays beside Scarness Jetty.
