Pialba Beach is the central Pialba Beach Hervey Bay foreshore, with Wetside Water Park on the Esplanade and Seafront Oval Pialba next to the path. Use the signed Pialba Beach parking at Seafront Oval and the Esplanade bays, then walk to the sand, playgrounds and cafes.

💦Wetside Water Park

📍 267 Esplanade Pialba — Wetside Water Park sits on Pialba Beach Hervey Bay, next to the sand.
🆓 Free water play — main arena is free. Slides and Aqua Ninja can cost extra.
❄️ Closed May to mid September — winter maintenance. Do not plan a water-park day in those months.
🚫 No dogs inside — certified service dogs only.

🏟️ Seafront Oval Pialba

🏟️ Town event lawn — It is the big foreshore oval used for the Whale Festival City and Sea day, markets and fireworks, with the bay and Wetside Water Park right beside it.
🅿️ Main Pialba Beach parking — park at Seafront Oval Pialba and the Esplanade bays beside it.
🧺 Picnic lawn — BBQs, toilets, playground and shade next to the path.
🦮 On leash — Seafront Oval Pialba is on-leash grass, not an off-leash beach.

🐶  Dog Friendly Rules

🦮 On leash on this foreshore — if a stretch at Pialba Beach is not signed off-leash or dog-free, dogs stay on-leash. Seafront Oval Pialba is on-leash grass. 🚫 No dogs in Wetside Water Park — certified service dogs only. Keep dogs off the water-play arena, slides and TotSide.
📍 24 hour off leash is next door — Tooan Tooan Creek to Scarness Jetty. That signed strip sits on the Pialba–Scarness boundary, not on the Wetside sand.
🧹 Effective control — recall, no nuisance, pick up. Fine for not keeping a dog under effective control in public is $863 from 1 July 2026.

🗺️ Getting to Pialba Beach

🚗 Driving: Pialba Beach is located in the central Hervey Bay foreshore, about 5 minutes from Scarness and 15 minutes from Urangan Pier, easily reached via Boat Harbour Drive or Main Street. The main beach access and car park are beside Seafront Oval and the Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club.
🚌 Public Transport: Regular Wide Bay Transit buses travel along The Esplanade, connecting Pialba with Scarness, Torquay, and Urangan.
🅿️ Parking: Free parking is available along The Esplanade near Seafront Oval, Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre, and the Water Park precinct.
