Lammermoor Beach is the 2.5 km sandy stretch between Cooee Bay and Statue Bay, just south of Yeppoon, with low-energy waves and Keppel Bay island views. Lammermoor Beach Yeppoon is used for long walks, high-tide swims and picnics at Lioness Park, with Lammermoor Beach facilities and Lammermoor Beach parking on the Scenic Highway and Rosslyn Bay Marina a few minutes south for Great Keppel Island boats.

🚶 Beach Walks — 2.5 km of firm sand from Wreck Point in the north to Statue Rocks in the south
🧺 Lioness Park Picnic — Mid-beach park
🛶 Statue Bay Paddle — Southern end launch for kayaks and SUPs. Rosslyn Bay boat ramp is about 1 km further south.
🎣 Rock and Shore Fishing — Rocks and the southern creek line are the usual spots, especially around high tide.
🌳 Lammermoor Native Gardens — 14 ha native reserve on both sides of Scenic Highway, a short walk from the foreshore.
🔭 Wreck Point Lookout — Northern headland views over Lammermoor Beach and Keppel Bay.

♿ Access — Sealed park and path access at Lioness Park. Sand access is still a short walk. This is not an official all-abilities beach.

🕘 Off-leash window — Off-leash before 8am and after 4pm daily on this foreshore, unless signed otherwise.
🌳 Olive Dorey Park — Fenced off-leash dog park on Clayton Road, Lammermoor. Agility equipment, shade and seating. This is the all-day off-leash option, not the beach.
🚫 Not a 24 hour off-leash beach — Daytime on the sand is on-leash.
🧹 Control and waste — Keep the dog under effective control and pack out waste.

🏕️ Camping Near Lammermoor Beach

🚫 No free beach camping — Overnight stays on the sand or in the car parks are not allowed.
🚐 Poinciana Tourist Park — Nearest paid park, 9 Scenic Highway, Cooee Bay. Dogs on sites only, conditions apply. Cabins are not the pet product.
🏨 Beaches on Lammermoor — Paid apartments on Scenic Highway opposite the beach. Not camping.
📅 Book peak dates — Easter, June/July school holidays and Christmas fill first.

🗺️ Lammermoor Beach Parking & Getting There

🚗 Drive — About 5 to 10 minutes south of Yeppoon CBD and about 40 to 45 minutes from Rockhampton via Yeppoon Road and Scenic Highway (State Route 4).
🅿️ Lammermoor Beach parking — Use Lioness Park first. Overflow is the smaller signed Scenic Highway access points along the beach. Do not park on the sand.
🚌 Bus — Young’s Bus Service runs Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Emu Park routes with stops on the Scenic Highway corridor.
🚙 4WD — None. Sealed road access only. Vehicles are not permitted on the sand.
⛴️ Island boats — Rosslyn Bay Marina is the ferry and boat-ramp point just south of Statue Bay.

🌳 Start at Lioness Park — Toilets, BBQs and the shortest walk to the middle of the beach.
⏳ Time the tide — High tide for swimming. Low to mid tide for the long sand walk.
🐕 Use the clock — On-leash through the middle of the day. Off-leash only before 8am and after 4pm.
🏝️ Do Keppel from here — Park at Lammermoor, then drive a few minutes to Rosslyn Bay for the island ferry.
🚫 Do not treat this as Yeppoon Main Beach — No flags, no lagoon, no surf club.
